I really did not want to be back to work after the holiday weekend.  The weekend was full of good food, a  great concert, and some time spent with friends we don’t get to see that often.

On Friday we headed  down to Little River Casino Resort where Colin had to shoot the Cheap Trick concert that night.  Neither of us are into casinos at all, in fact, I pretty much despise gambling in general, so while he set up for the concert I found a lounge chair in the courtyard and enjoyed a book.

The concert was excellent.  Rick Nielsen is probably the best guitar player I’ve ever seen.  I mean, how you can you not be entertained by a guy that plays a 5-neck guitar?

There were some great fireworks after the concert  that seemed to go on forever.

On Saturday, we packed up our stuff after breakfast, had lunch with Colin’s folks, and then headed up to our friend’s house in Suttons Bay.  After a few hours, we headed home and were sound asleep once we hit the pillows.

Now it’s a busy week back at work.  No cooking for the last few days, no cooking tonight since I’ll work late.  But cooking returns starting tomorrow with some recipes I’m really excited about this week.
